Global trends in clean energy technology innovation
A key driver of green innovation has been the surge in electric vehicles. This trend is also reflected in the ranking of top companies in low-carbon energy technologies since 2000, which includes six automotive companies. More trends are depicted in the second study between the EPO and the International Energy Agency which looks at low-carbon energy technologies across all sectors of the economy, identifies the leading players and highlights the urgent need to accelerate the pace of innovation.
